DOING BUSINESS RESPONSIBLY

Booker Spalding is a committed, environmentally responsible business and believes in global responsibility by design.

Health and Safety is a priority for us as a company. We are committed to taking responsibility for our people through external auditing of our processes & practices. Health and Safety Policy

Our company was an early adopter and supporter of the Enviro-Mark programme, an environmental certification programme owned and operated by Enviro-Mark Solutions (a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Zealand’s Crown Research Institute – Landcare Research),  and has met these standards through independent annual audits for more than 10 years.

We are one of only 30 organisations to be Enviro-Mark® Diamond certified in the world … and the only clothing company

Our ability to adapt quickly enabled Booker Spalding to become the first organisation in Wellington to achieve Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We are the only clothing company in New Zealand – and one of a few businesses globally – who maintain the highest level of Enviro-Mark certification, Diamond

When it comes to our day-to-day operations, it’s our goal to make as little impact as possible on the environment. We’re constantly evaluating the strategies we have in place to better suit the needs of the world around us.

We have significantly reduced our energy and water use, we continue to reduce our waste, and we recycle whenever possible.

We also aim to be carbon neutral by 2030.
